Michael Robert Thomas

Mr. Michael Robert Thomas 42, transitioned Monday, August 30, 2021, in Miami Florida. Funeral arrangements will be conducted by Range Funeral Home 5727 NW 17th Ave. Miami, Florida. A private memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25,  2021, at 2:00p.m. via Zoom Conference.

Mr. Michael Robert Thomas was born June 14, 1979, in Columbia, South Carolina. The son of Robert Lee Thomas and Cynthia (Culmer) Thomas. He lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, and later moved to Darlington, South Carolina. Here, he attended Darlington County Public Schools and was a graduate of Darlington High School. He later attended South Carolina State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

In 2006 Michael moved to Miami, Florida, where he began working for Miami Job Corps Center. In 2015 he accepted a teaching position with the Miami-Dade Public School System. During this time, Michael also acquired his Master of Education Business Administration degree with a concentration in Information Systems.

 Michael was a dedicated member of, Jehovah's Witness Congregation in Darlington, South Carolina, and Miami Shores Congregation in Miami, Florida.

Michael was a blessing to his family and was loved more than words could ever express. Many who knew Michael described him as a light that impacted their lives.

Michael is survived by his parents Robert Thomas and Cynthia Thomas, two brothers Brian Thomas, and Cameron Thomas. One sister Helen Lee. Three Uncles Calvin Culmer, Charles Collier, and John Henry Thomas. Three Aunts, Cameia Collier, Helen Katie Kinzer, Corina Lewis, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael's light will never go dim. He will forever be in our hearts and in the hearts of all that have expressed how much they loved, cared, and respected him. This outpouring of love has given the family much comfort.

Michael is now in Jehovah God’s memory, for this is the best place he can be.  Revelation 21:4 says He will wipe every tear from our eyes and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
