Minister Doris Veronica Cade of Darlington peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at McLeod Hospice Facility.
The family will receive friends at 129 Cleveland St., Darlington, S.C., from 3:00 pm. - 8:00 pm.
Celebration of life for Ms. Cade will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Anointed Outreach Ministries, 1032 N. Governor Williams Highway, Darlington, SC 29532.
Public viewing will be 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the funeral home.

Ms. Doris Veronica Cade was born on January 8, 1954, in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Samuel J. Young and Dorothy Mae Young. Her vapor vanished away on Tuesday February 21, 2023, in McLeod Hospice House surround by family members.
Doris attended the Darlington County Public Schools and was a 1972 graduate of Butler High School, Hartsville, SC. She was employed in the Darlington County School District as a Bus Driver for over thirty years. She cherished each and every one of her students.
On May 14, 2014, she was ordained as a minister with Faith Bible Worship Center.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel J. and Dorothy Mae Young; her maternal grandparents, James B. and Nettie Brown and her paternal grandparents, Reverend I. E. and Mary L. Young.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Jimmy I. (Denise) Capers of Lancaster, SC, Antoinette (Mark) Pinckney of Columbia, SC, and Dante Capers of Darlington, SC; two bonus children, Chris Hudson of Florence, SC and Marvin (Kimberly) Cooper of Darlington, SC; her siblings, Milton (Sandra) Brockenberry of Bishopville, SC, Robert (Tonya) Brockenberry of Hartsville, SC, Wilson Fields of Raleigh NC, Thomas Fields of Hartsville, SC, and John (Shantia) Fields of Dovesville, SC; a bonus honorary sister/cousin, Gloria Green of Creedmor, NC; eleven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
