Mr. Charlie “Stebo” Johnson Jr. peacefully transitioned on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
The family is receiving friends at the residence of his parents, Apostle Charlie & First Lady Lorene Johnson, 1900 Jeffords Mill Road Darlington, SC 29540. Masks are required to visit the residence.
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Johnson will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Tabernacle Worship Center, 1200 South Main Street, Darlington, South Carolina 29532. Interment will follow at Round O Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at the funeral home.
The family will also be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at the funeral home.

Mr. Charlie “Stebo” Johnson Jr. was born on July 30, 1963 to Apostle Charley Johnson and First Lady Lorene Johnson. He peacefully transitioned on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
“Stebo” as he was called by his family and friends was educated in the Darlington County School District where he attended St. John High School class of 1981.
“Stebo” was a member of Tabernacle Worship Center under the leadership of his father Apostle Charley Johnson.
“Stebo” was employed at Talley Metals in McBee, South Carolina
Those left to cherish his memories are: his parents Apostle Charley Johnson, First Lady Lorene Johnson; four children: Brandon Scott, Crystal Matthews, James Johnson, Richard Perry; one sister, Aretha (Eddie) Coker, three brothers: James Levern (Charity) Johnson, Monroe (Lisa) Johnson, Jacoby Dubose, 10 grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
