Mr. Chester Brown

Mr. Chester Brown peacefully transitioned Monday, January 17, 2022, at MUSC Heath Florence Medical Center. 

Celebration of Life for Mr. Brown will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022, in the Chapel of Sherman L. Barno, Jr. Funeral Directors, 704 Washington Street, Darlington, S.C. 29532 

Public viewing will be from 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the funeral home.

Life Reflections

Mr. Chester Brown was born September 28, 1956, in Darlington, S.C. He was reared by the late Alma Samuel Brown and the late Willie Brown. Chester entered eternal rest on Monday, January 17, 2022. 

 Chester lived at the Pauley CTH II Home for over 6 years with 3 additional housemates. He loved sharing his faith in the Lord with everyone he met. When he was able, he enjoyed working with the lawn crew and spending time at Bridging the Gap Day Program. Chester enjoyed watching tv, going to church, going to the movies, listening to gospel music, and reading his bible. Chester always greeted you with a big smile. 

Chester was preceded in death by his mother Alma Samuel Brown, Father Willie Brown, Brother Leo Samuel, Nephew Keyshawn Tyrek Gattison, Aunts; Mary Redfern, Magalene Samuel, Mildred McGuirn, and Uncle David Samuel.

The light of his life shines through the memory of his survivors; Three sisters: Lula Jean Gattison, Mattie Mae Gilbert, and Margarine (Angel) Brown. One brother: Willie Lee Brown, Two aunts: Mrs. Maebelle Black and Mrs. Alice Brown both of Darlington, S.C., and Mrs. Hattie Isaac of Chesterfield SC.  A special friend Ms. Janie, his housemates, the staff of Darlington County Disabilities and Special needs, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
