Henry Lee Kennedy was born in Darlington County, South Carolina on February 2, 1950, the son of the late Deloris McMillian Kennedy and James Kennedy, Sr. He peacefully transitioned on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
Henry was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Henry was preceeded in death by his parents James Kennedy, Sr. and Deloris McMillian Kennedy; three sisters, Cora Brown, Inez Johnson, and Annie Carroway.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Barbara Dubose and Pamela Avery; One son, Michael Hickman; Three sisters, Carla (John) McDonald, Hester (Leroy) Dubose, and Judy Johnson; Four brothers, James (Mae Ella) Kennedy, Jr. Bennie Ray (Ree) Kennedy, Bobby Joe (Rosa) Kennedy, and William (Catherine) Kennedy; Three grandchildren Quenisha Dickey, Whitney Waiters and Jaletta Waiters; Two great-grandchildren, Shaniyah Waiters and Kameron Waiter; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
