The family will receive friends for visitation at the residence of Mr. Leo & Mrs. Joann Bonaparte, 277 Timberlake Dr. Florence S.C 29501.

Celebration of life will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Divine Destiny Family Worship Center, 3824 Oak Dr., Florence, SC 29501. Interment will follow at Faith Memorial Gardens, Rogers Rd., Darlington, S.C. 29532.

There will be No Public Viewing.

Life Reflections

On August 31, 2023, God decided to give our earthly angel, Kevin Deshawn Huff his heavenly wings to reside with him. 

On October 20, 1972, in New York, New York, Kevin Deshawn Huff a gift from God was born to Dimmen Huff and Patricia Yarborough Huff. 

He was united in marriage to the former Miss Stephany Jett and in this union, they were blessed with twins a boy and girl who preceded him in death. 

Kevin graduated from La Salle Academy in New York City with Honors and continued his education at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC graduating with honors with a bachelor's degree in science.  

He was employed at Pantheon / Thermo Fisher Scientific formally known as Roche Pharmaceuticals for many years until health declined.  

Kevin was a young man who was extremely humble and respectful. He was determined to accomplish the goals he set for himself. Always thinking of his mother and those in his circle, Kevin always included them in all his endeavors he set before himself.  

Kevin was affectionately known as “My Kev” by his mother and he acknowledge through cards “Love Your Kev” 

He cherished the relationship with each of his siblings, Derek Lamont, and Dimmen Germaine Huff. He was their Big Brother. 

Kevin is survived by and leaves behind his precious memories: his loving mother, Patricia Yarborough Huff; two brothers, Derek Huff and Dimmen Huff of New York, New York; embraced children, Jaikalia Johnson, Jaishawn Johnson, both of Florence, SC, Jaimel Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; God – daughter, Destiny Miles of Darlington, SC; special friends, Megan Greene, of Florence, SC; aunts, Mary Linda (Oliver) Nunnaely, Nina Bell Jordan, Wilmatine (Michael) Moore, Mittie Sue Huff, of Statesboro, Georgia, Betty Huff, Georgia Huff, both of New York City; uncles, Leverne Huff of New York, Randolph (Lillian) Huff, Leaman (Juanita) Huff, Edward (Nara) Huff, of Statesboro, Georgia; special aunt, Jo-Ann (Leo) Bonaparte, of Florence, SC; special cousin, Sonya Cuttino, of Hempstead, New York, and  Leslie Moore, of Atlanta, Georgia and a host other cousin, relatives and friends.  

Kevin was proceeded in death by his father, Dimmen Huff and his twins Kaylen Dimmen Huff and Kandice Marie Huff.
