Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Scipio will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 400 S. Main Street, Darlington, S.C. Reverend Dr. Cecil Bromell, Eulogist.
Internment will follow at Darlington Memory Gardens, 2071 E Bobo Newsom Hwy, Hartsville, SC 29550
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Minister Marshall Scipio was born on September, 21,
1966 to Mrs. Julia Scipio- Smith and Apostle Charley Johnson. He peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, July 23, 2021 at his residence after an extended illness.
Marshall was educated in the Florence County Public School System.
Marshall was ordained as minister in the Lord’s church under the leadership of his father Apostle Charley L. Johnson.
At an early age of 12 Marshall was considered to be
intellectually advanced. When he was 14 Apple
approached him to create a program with the permission of his parents. Shortly thereafter he graduated high school at the age of 16.
Marshall's hobbies consist of disassembling radios to enhance their capabilities. Over the years he has created over 30 robots. He was well known for his technical achievements.
Marshall was employed at Omnicon Group in New
York. Years later he relocated to South Carolina.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his parents,
Julia (Carl) Smith and Apostle Charley (First Lady Lorene) Johnson ; two sisters: Judith Scipio (Hubert), Aretha (Eddie) Coker; four brothers: James Levern (Charity) Johnson, Charley Johnson Jr., Monroe (Lisa) Johnson, Jacoby Dubose; eight aunts Janie Lawson, Corine Holloway, Helen Crawford, Linda Johnson, Laura May Johnson, Geraldine Johnson, Helen Johnson, Francina Johnson; three uncles Edward Johnson, Willie Johnson, Houston (Marjorie) Johnson, David (Helen) Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
