Life Reflections
The world became brighter on October 20, 1959, the day that Ronnie Coe was born. He brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with his shyness, kind heart, radiant half smile, and boundless curiosity. Though his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
We remember Mr. Ronnie Coe., 65, whose spirit departed this earthly life on Monday, August 5, 2024, at MUSC-Florence, South Carolina after a very short illness.
Born October 20, 1959, in Darlington, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Ms. Cozette Coe. Early on Monday morning, August 5, 2024, Ronnie entered into eternal rest. He peacefully left this earth and took his flight. He received his formal education in the Darlington School System. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1978. Sometime during his life journey, his friends gave him the nickname “Knot’’! He was very particular about his clothes and was a sharp dresser. He worked on the railroad for many years. Even though Ronnie was considered by many to be an introvert, his alter ego was a DJ. He enjoyed and rallied the crowd with his DJ(ing) skills. Everyone knew when DJ Knot was in the house!
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Cozette Coe; a brother, Mr. Fredrick Coe. He is survived by his brothers, Mr. James Coe, Florence, S.C.; Mr. Derrick Coe & Mr. Patrick McClain, New York and a sister, Ms. Lauren Nicole Coe, New York; three aunts, Mrs. Gracie Dell Lyde; Mrs. Mary Frances Blackmon, and Mrs. Thelma Jones, all from Darlington, S.C., a host of cousins and a longtime companion, Ms. Marlene Legette, Florence, SC.
