Mr. Willie B. Davis peacefully transitioned Sunday, May 4, 2025 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. 

Celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in the funeral home chapel. 

                           Life Reflections 

Mr. Willie B. Davis was born October 15, 1952, in Trenton, SC, the son of the late Alford and Josephine Butler Davis. He peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on May 4, 2025, in Florence, SC surrounded by loving family and many friends.

He graduated from W. E. Parker High School in 1970. He later attended Florence-Darlington Technical College and graduated in 2014, earning an Associate Degree in HVAC. He was listed on the President's List from Dr. Ben P. Dillard, III. His earlier achievements were in 1984 when he joined Howard Shodan School and was promoted to the rank of first (1) degree black belt - Tai Karate Association.

He worked in textiles for many years and returned to school to become a certified HVAC Technician.

Willie was very athletic and loved all kinds of exercise, especially swimming, bike riding, and yoga.

Willie was a member of AA Center since 2008 and after a heart attack, he became a member of McLeod Health Fitness Center in 2010, where he was a faithful member of both facilities. Willie moved to Florence to change his life and to continue his recovery from drugs and alcohol. He had just celebrated seventeen years of recovery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford and Josephine Butler Davis.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, but not limited to: his three sons, Michael Anthony Davis, Russell (Christine) Davis, and Dayarlo Ryan, Sr.; eight grandchildren, Taiwan Davis, Solomon Davis, Michael Davis, DeAnna Davis, Monica Davis, Dayarlo Ryan, Jr., Zion Ryan, and Daylani Ryan; brothers, Alfred Davis, Ill and Michael Davis; sisters, Dorothy Davis, Debra J. Davis, Juanita (Thaddeus) Perry, Elizabeth Davis, and Hattie Mae Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends who will always keep his love and guidance in their hearts.
