Ms. Susan Annette Bacote peacefully transitioned Thursday, December 22, 2022. 

The family will be receiving friends at 1013 S. Main, St., Darlington, S.C. 29532 

The family requests that mask be worn during the time of visitation. They also ask that those that are not feeling well to refrain from visiting at this time.

Celebration of life for Ms. Bacote will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at Christ Temple Holiness Church, 101 Farm Street, Darlington, S.C. 29532 interment will follow in the cemetery oSt. Johns Temple Holiness Church, 231 Long Bluff Rd., Society Hill, S.C. 29593

Public viewing will be 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the funeral home.

Ms. Susan Annette Bacote was born on September 20. 1964 to the late Mr. Bill Mills and Mrs. Ella Bacote Joyner. She departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Susan was educated in the Darlington County Public Schools and graduated from Hartsville High School Class of 1982.

She was a member of St. Johns Temple Holiness Church for over thirty years. Susan was affectionately called “Net” or “Susie Q” by her family and friends.

 She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for over thirty years. She enjoyed making others laugh and had a passion for playing cards and going to yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Deborah Grant; a brother, Leon Bacote; and her niece, Menetra Hough.
 

Those left to cherish her fond memories are her loving mother, Ella Joyner of Darlington, SC; one daughter, Sanquita (Tye’Quan) Bacote of Society Hill, SC; two sons, Korey (Latoya) Bacote and Darius Bacote, both of Darlington, SC; two granddaughters, Sorayah Ramsey of Green Acres, FL and Lyrica Bacote of Sumer, SC; one grandson, Nihja Bacote of Greenville, SC; siblings, Toney (Harriet) Bacote of Atlanta, GA, Diane (David) Kelly of Darlington, SC, and Ernest Bacote of Hartsville, SC; four aunts; five uncles; a few special nieces, Shameka Hough, Keyonna Dowdy, Kenziah and Kenzayah Kirkland; one God-daughter, Dannetta Brown, one God-son, Monta Gillespie; a God-sister, Patricia Ray; a cousin, Tonya Duke; a few of her special friends, Nathaniel Wearing, Terry Singletary, Mildred Scott, Rita Goodson, Levern Delaine, and Wanda Frierson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends she loved dearly.
