Reverend Edell J. Sansbury of Darlington peacefully transitioned Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

The family will receive friends at 4403 Hoffmeyer, Rd. Darlington, S.C. 29532 

Celebration of life for Reverend Sansbury will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at House Of God Church, 115 Wilson Rd., Florence, S.C. 29506 interment will follow at Hart #2 Cemetery, Timmonsville Highway, Darlington, S.C. 29532 

Public viewing will be 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at the funeral home

                                  Obituary 

Time to be born: Reverend Edell Jett Sansbury was born in Darlington, South Carolina on May 28, 1951. She was the 5th child out of 10 children born to Arthur Jett and Sadie Mae McDaniel Jett Beasley. Reverend Edell Jett Sansbury transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, following an illness. 

Time to Grow and Sore: Rev. Edell attended the public schools of Darlington County and graduated from Mayo High School. After she graduated from high school, she began employment with the Council on Aging Agency for numerous years until retirement. 

Time to Worship and Save lives: Rev. Edell Sansbury was a dedicated member of House of God Church for over 23 years. While being a faithful member of this church, she served as president of the missionary organization, mass choir,  and pastor’s aide association, chairperson of the noon day service, and taught Jr. Sunday bible school class. 

She loved the lord, her family, and reaching and teaching the body of christ.

Time to mourn:Those left to continue the legacy of Rev. Edell Sansbury is: her husband Raymond Sansbury Jr.  for over 57 years. Her children: Alisa Felix (Sidney) of Lynchburg, SC, Thaddeus Jett of Columbia, SC, Elaine Jones (Donald), Michael Sansbury (Felicia), Orrie Roberson (Charles Sr), Tyrone Sansbury all of Darlington, SC, and Latonya Harrision (Ricky) of Society Hill, SC. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings; Arthur Jett III, Minister Queen Ester Coe (Levern), all of Darlington, SC, Chief Warrant Officer-Retired Willie Jett (Marylan) of (San Antonio TX), Archie Jett (Shirley) of Florence SC. Rose Mary Brown (Avern) of (Timmonsville SC); four sister-in-laws, Geraldine Jett of Florence SC and Hattie Jett of Florence SC, Marie Alston, Rosa Sansbury both of Darlington, S.C. one brother in law, Lawrence Sansbury, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and House of God Church family all who mourn her passing. 

Time to love: Outside of her 7 children, Edell also reared a host of nieces and nephews along with the Moses Drive neighborhood kids.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur Jett and Sadie Mae McDaniel Jett Beasley. Two brothers Raleigh Jett and Ernest Jett Sr. Sisters Sadie Mae Pauley and Bertha Mae Jenrette
